And he wins the Stanley Cup!

Tonight was Hockey Night at the Byrnes'.  The only thing these goalies are missing is a blue and white uniform!  But that will come soon enough!

Don't they get make the cutest goalie's? How would you even shoot a puck at these ones!  And when Cohyn wins the cup we will all look back to this pic! He already knows what to do!  It's fate!

The Cat

Today, Ashleigh dug through all her old dolls and pulled out a few for Shae-lyn.  She also found her little "For Real Kitty".  The babies actually think it's real.  Both of them were a little scared of it to begin with, and then after Cadeyn chased Cohyn around the house he became very scared of it.  Scarey for him, funny for us!  Does that make me a bad parent?

Number 12

Today my favorite Toronto Blue Jay of all time had his number retired.  Wish I was there to see it! I was lucky enough to live through seeing them win 2 back to back World Series.  As we were watching I said "I love Robbie Alomar" and Cadeyn yelled at me..."No you are supposed to love Daddy!".  LOL

Mommy...now I'm a star!

I can't believe he's five and has his first year of baseball under his belt. Today was his last day of ball and he received his trophy,  Grandma and Grandpa, and Great-Grandma and Grandpa were all there to see him get it.  He was excited.

When we were driving away he said to me "Mommy, now I'm a Star".  Yes Cadeyn you are a Star!  An All-Star!!!

When things get back to normal.....

Yeah right.  That seems to be my excuse for everything right now.  Still waiting for normal, and it doesn't seem even one day closer.  So I gotta get "back on the horse" as they say, as this is now normal life.

I have to laugh hysterically at the twin moms I talked to when I was pregnant.  They all told me that the first year is Hell.  Whatever!  That was the easy part!  THEY COULDN'T MOVE!!!! Now they are on, in, under, over, EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING they can.  We are constantly on the go chasing them out of places they shouldn't be in or peeling them off the furniture.  Right now they are like magnets to the kitchen table.  Our chairs are now permanent fixtures on top of it.   I did recently talk to parents of twins.  They were the most honest to us.  They told us if we can make it to "3" and stay sane, things would get better.  They also have a good chuckle when the twins manage to team up and divide and conquer the unsuspecting parent who is lucky enough to have them at baseball.  Almost half way there!  The count down is on!

He touched the Stanley Cup

Dan and I took today off to take Cadeyn to see the Stanley Cup and meet Rich Peverley of the Boston Bruins.  Both Cadeyn and Dan would have been more stoked if it was the Chicago Blackhawks and Johnathan Toews.  That seems to be Cadeyn's favorite player right now. Don't worry, I am still trying to sway him to the blue and white...some day's he even says his likes them most.  It usually lasts about 1-5 minutes but it gives me hope! I think he should get a nice Leaf's Jersey for Christmas!!!

Day 107 - The Seizure

This is how I left them on what would turn out to be the scariest day of my life so far! I picked Ashleigh up from a friends and went to do some grocery shopping.  When the phone rang, I didn't think much of it.  Until I heard Dans voice on the other end, telling me I had to get home right away.  I made him tell me what was wrong...I figured someone had fallen and was bleeding....but the words that I heard made my heart sink. Shae-lyn is not breathing get home now! I don't really remember the ride home.  All I could think about is if my little girl would be alive when I got there.  Needless to say...I was extremely frightened!  I got home at the same time as the firetrucks and ambulance arrived! Good news...she is breathing.  She had a seizure and stopped breathing for about 2 minutes.  They got her on the oxygen and away we went to the hospital.  She still wasn't herself. But I felt better because we had people taking care of her who knew what they were doing.  Once we got to the hospital, they did tests to determine what was causing it.  It was determined that the seizure was fever induced and that she had pneumonia for the second time in 2 months.  Taking after her big brother.  She got to go home, but we pumped her full of Tylenol to make sure her fever didn't spike. She's doing good now...hopefully we never experience this again.  Dan did a great job of taking care of his little girl without losing it....I don't think I could have done it!

Day 47 - Together

Joy of Love - Together

Technically, I am supposed to be in this picture....but that is NOT going to happen!  So here is a pic of the twins that I will cherish...especially when the Leafs make the playoffs this year!  GO LEAFS GO! Together the 3 of us will cheer them on!
